· We the undersigned, being aware of the importance of values \u200b\u200band fundamental principles of equality and equal social dignity enshrined in our Constitution have to free and full development of the person, we believe that the decision of the Government in the field of civil unions does not express a position of secular and European outlook and above is not compatible with our Constitution.
· The question is whose rights are evoked and utilized as a palliative for extreme situations, in other words as mere legal remedies in an emergency or as a pure asset management tools (to support prisoners, the sick and dying, taking over homes for rent, inheritance), however, some remedies existing in our system: on the contrary, the right to carry out a project for living together, marriage or family is fundamental and essential element for the full development of the person and, as such, it is guaranteed by Articles 2 and 3 of the Italian Constitution.
• The government measure provides for the recognition of certain limited rights to persons who have decided to establish a de facto union, but does not exhaust the existing discrimination in our country on grounds of sex and sexual orientation of members of the couple, prejudice in any event no access institution of civil marriage for same-sex couples and thus providing a substantial and unacceptable differences in access to law related to the condition of the person, which is a weak point unacceptable to the fundamental principles of our Constitution.
