When yesterday I read the release regarding the meeting between the President and four Fini Italian gay organizations, I felt like writing a note on "malice," or "I rosicare", as you prefer, thinking of the handful of members of the LGBT movement that some stomach ache all over 'goal reached by Mancuso media have certainly had. Then the articles in the newspapers this morning have reached this desire and forced me to think, faithful to the subtitle of my blog, on the substance of what has happened.
My impression is that at present the only objective achieved by the two protagonists is that it sparigliato (little by little, the truth is ....) rigid attachment that readers of newspapers in the head, and both also have strong contenders in the past helped to create: a compact right against gays and gay right-wing enemies compact.
But there are two other objectives, less obvious but equally significant stakeholders, which must be pointed out: Fini has made a dispettuccio the Church and the vast majority of his political party, because behind the formality and rigidity of the meeting limits imposed on the topics to be addressed, it is clear that open on the front means unmark on gay rights by a substantial majority vulgar, or absent. Fini is a candidate to be leader of a wing liberal of the center? This is great news, we'll see what effects it will have on the concrete proposals that will pass or not pass, by Parliament.
Mancuso, presented himself to the encounter with what now seems his court credited as fixing some dispettuccio has scored himself. How to define otherwise attended a meeting where only four Italian organizations in the aftermath of a national press conference to present a campaign against homophobia which have joined the dozens of acronyms, certainly no less significant than those housed in the Palazzo Montecitorio? The theme of the meeting with Fini and the press conference before the fight was not homophobia and lobbying for support to the bill-Tanning-Beltrandi Bernardini and others lying in the Commission? How can we not define dispettuccio (this time against oneself) to accept without batting an eyelid to speak with President Fini only certain topics and not others? How can we not define dispettuccio to invent the ridiculous argument that certain fundamental rights, the Association is an organization of the party to justify his absence from the delegation?
Net, then, of dispettucci that this episode has brought to light, remain on the field the two challenges, both of some importance: Fini will do it to be a less homophobic right center bringing home some concrete results and not only pats on the back? Mancuso will do it to scrape off all'ArciGay definitely from the left sideline the past two decades, maybe even working on those traits "mischievous" in its leadership (not his Mancuso organization that represents)?
No one will take offense if I say that certainly the most significant challenge to the homosexual and transsexual people in this country is Quelala Fini. On
Mancuso add another thought: I still believe the message Out! launched in 1974 by choosing to federate the PR and asking all those who did not share this choice to enter the game because just changing from the inside (Their culture, their political choices) in our country there would be a true equality for gay people and transsexuals. The movements are independent of political parties in Italy have always had very short life and breath. The model in Italy goes to big corporate and collateral is, just look at the history of trade unions and youth movements to understand. Mancuso says at every turn that the time the collateral is over: we are entering one of corporatism?

PS for friends GayLib associations, aged, Rainbow Families: every time I hear you speak in public highlighted the need for unity of the movement. Why no recollection of these beautiful sentences even when the ArciGay invites you to formal meetings with the President of the Chamber?
